Inaugural IFPRI Egypt Seminar Series
The new Seminar Series provides a platform for all people striving to identify and implement evidence-based policy solutions that sustainably reduce poverty and end hunger and malnutrition. The new series is part of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded project called “Evaluating Impact and Building Capacity” (EIBC) that is implemented by IFPRI.
It will feature research-based presentations by top local and international experts on key development topics. Recording and publishing all the events online will create a knowledge repository to inform policy making in Egypt and beyond.
The first seminar presented IFPRI’s 2016 Global Food Policy Report (GFPR). This year’s GFPR report explores how we can develop an inclusive, climate-smart, health-driven, and business-friendly food system that can enhance the well-being of people and the planet. The seminar featured a short overview presentation of the report with focus on the MENA region, followed by presentations and comments by four distinguished panelists.
