The Rural Economic Growth and Employment Project (REGEP) is an agricultural development project funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), that started in 2015 and will run for six years.
The main objective of the project is to improve access to finance in rural areas in Jordan.

Within the ever-increasing paradigm of promoting gender equality, the subconscious perceptions amongst policymakers and practitioners tend to be that women farmers in rural areas are the victims of gendered violence – and that local grassroots NGOs have limited capacity in bringing about scale, impact or sustainability compared to international bodies with greater resources.
Experience of Zenab for Women in Development (ZWD) challenges this perception in rural Sudan.
