We provide research-based policy solutions to sustainably reduce poverty and end hunger and malnutrition in the world. In order to support Egypt in its quest to reduce poverty and improve food and nutrition security, we work closely with Egyptian institutions - including the Ministry of Planning, International Cooperation and Economic Development, Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Sawaris Foundation for Social Development, the Egyptian Food Bank and the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences at Cairo University, among others. In addition to collaborative policy research and impact assessments, we strengthen the capacity of institutions and individuals to conducting cutting-edge socio-economic analyses and we provide knowledge communication services to support evidence-based decision making.
Egypt SSP is undertaken in collaboration with CGIAR Scaling for Impact, Policy Innovations, and Future Frontiers Science Programs, the International Center for Agriculture in the Dry Areas and other international partners. The programs’ projects are funded by a variety of clients and include research to reduce poverty and improve food and nutrition security in the wider region.
